GreatPing

Project labels

Show which project an alert comes from, or keep project names private.

Alerts can name the project an agent works in: "Codex · billing-api". Labels are off until you turn them on, because a folder name can be a client's or a product's name.

greatping project labels folder # show the folder name of the git repository
greatping project labels hidden # turn labels off again

You can also switch this on the computer's screen in the app, or in greatping setup.

The label is the folder name of the git repository or worktree root, never a path. Per project, run from its directory:

greatping project name "Client A" # send this name instead
greatping project hide # send no name for this project
greatping project reset # back to the computer's setting
greatping project list # show your overrides

Project names are end-to-end encrypted to your devices, like question text. A device can keep them off its Lock Screen (Settings › Project Names); the app always shows them. Labels are deleted with the alert's content, 7 days after it finishes.
