GreatPingMCP tools
Five tools that let any MCP-capable agent message you, ask you a question or pause alerts.
greatping mcp runs a local MCP server over stdio using this computer's pairing. greatping setup registers it for the agents it configures.

When agents should use them
- Installed hooks already alert on native questions and permissions. An agent should not repeat them with
notify. ask_usercreates a separate question on your phone. It cannot approve a prompt that is waiting in the agent.- Pause and resume only when you ask for it.
ask_user accepts your own words by default, since agents usually offer choices as suggestions. Pass allowText: false when the answer must be one of the choices.
get_status is read only and never exposes the credential, account, computer or device names.
