Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the GreatPing apps for iOS and Android, the greatping command line tool, and the GreatPing service (together, "GreatPing"). GreatPing is provided by B.I.K.S. Trading OÜ, Narva mnt 7-634, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia ("we", "us"). By using GreatPing you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
1. What GreatPing does
GreatPing notifies your phones and tablets when a coding agent on one of your computers is waiting for you, and lets you send your own messages and questions from the computer to your devices and answer them there.
GreatPing does not answer, approve or deny anything inside your coding agents. A prompt waiting in an agent stays there until you respond to it on the computer.
GreatPing is in active development. Features may change, and the app is currently available only to invited testers.
2. Your account
An account is created on your first device and has no email address or password. You are responsible for the devices and computers you add to it, for keeping them secure, and for what is sent from your computers. Approve only computers and devices that are yours.
Because there is no other way to identify you, we cannot restore access to an account if you lose all of its devices. You can pair your computers with a new account at any time. You can delete your account at any time in the app; see Delete your account.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if it is higher, to use GreatPing.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use GreatPing to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- access accounts, devices or computers that are not yours, or try to;
- interfere with the service, overload it, work around its limits or security, or probe it for vulnerabilities outside our security reporting process;
- send malware, spam or content that is illegal to send;
- resell the service or build a competing service from it.
We do not read or monitor what you send through GreatPing, and with end-to-end encryption we cannot. To keep the service available for everyone, it limits how often each connection, device and computer can make requests. If a device, computer or account is used to overload or attack the service, or otherwise against the law, we may limit or end its access.
4. Your content
What you send through GreatPing stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store and deliver it to your devices for as long as our retention rules allow. Questions, messages, answers and project names are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them.
5. Open-source components
The greatping command line tool, the protocol package and the agent skill are open source under the MIT license. Your use of that source code is governed by its license. These terms govern your use of the GreatPing service and apps.
6. Price
GreatPing is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged for anything you have not agreed to buy.
7. Availability and delivery
We work to keep GreatPing reliable, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available or that every notification arrives, or arrives on time. Delivery also depends on Apple, Google, your network, your device's settings and your agents. Do not rely on GreatPing for anything where a missed or late notification could cause harm, such as safety, medical or emergency purposes.
8. Third-party services
GreatPing works with coding agents and platforms made by others, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and Cursor, and with Apple's and Google's notification services. We are not responsible for those services, and their own terms apply to them. Names of third-party products are used only to describe compatibility; GreatPing is not affiliated with or endorsed by their owners.
9. Disclaimer
Except where the law does not allow it, GreatPing is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it fits a particular purpose or is free of errors.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim related to GreatPing is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 euros.
If you use GreatPing as a consumer, you keep all rights that consumer law in your country gives you, and these terms do not reduce them.
11. Ending
You can stop using GreatPing and delete your account at any time. We may stop providing GreatPing, or end an account that breaks these terms, after giving reasonable notice in the app where we can. When an account ends, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when GreatPing changes or the law requires it. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account; continuing to use GreatPing after the change means you accept it.
13. Apple App Store
If you got the app from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of any purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, or claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property; we are responsible for those to the extent these terms say so. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in the courts there. Otherwise, the courts of Harju County, Estonia, have jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
